Eligible suggestions must recommend or achieve one or more of these requirements in areas covered by Blink:
- Save time, material, labor, money, or energy
- Eliminate ineffective steps in processes or duplications in processes
- Improve methods, procedures, service quality, or workflow without increasing costs
A suggestion is ineligible if it is any of the following:
- A part of the employee’s normal duties, and the employee making the suggestion has the authority to make the recommended change
- Already under active consideration
- A grievance related to salaries, promotion, position, or classification
- A criticism of another employee or an employee’s work performance
- Already a part of another University report, study, document, or publication
- Punitive
The Blink Suggestion Box program began Oct. 1, 2002. All suggestions will be evaluated by a committee for eligibility.
