The CRMS works with UCSD researchers and external clients to design and fabricate specialized equipment not available on the market. Skilled shop technicians utilize computer-operated mills and lathes to produce completed parts.
The CRMS is located in the basement of Urey Hall
The CRMS assists researchers in designing equipment to meet their needs. MasterCam technology enables technicians to use CAD programs to run machines for fabricating parts. The shop also operates a fully stocked tool crib that sells materials and tools.
